Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven and detail-oriented Apparel Production Manager with experience in fashion manufacturing and supply chain operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production lifecycle—from sourcing and procurement through manufacturing, fulfillment, and delivery—to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality output. The ideal candidate brings knowledge of fashion product cycles, vendor management, global supply chains, and production planning, and is experienced in managing wholesale relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Manufacturing Management
Lead the coordination of seasonal and replenishment product manufacturing across multiple vendors and regions. Oversee production timelines to meet critical path milestones and ensure on-time deliveries. Monitor capacity planning, production schedules, and WIP (work in progress) to optimize workflow.
Supply Chain Operations
Manage raw material procurement, order tracking, and inventory planning and sourcing. Identify and resolve supply bottlenecks, capacity constraints, or logistical delays. Collaborate with merchandising to align demand forecasts with production planning.
Fulfillment, Wholesale Shipping & Stockist Coordination
Manage the fulfillment and distribution of wholesale orders to stockists and retail partners across domestic and international markets. Liaise directly with wholesale stockists to confirm seasonal orders, resolve discrepancies, and align delivery timelines with their buying calendars. Notify wholesale partners when their orders are complete and ready for dispatch and providing shipping documentation. Coordinate with 3PLs logistics teams to ensure on-time and accurate deliveries in alignment with retailer compliance requirements. Handle all outbound logistics operations, including customs documentation and shipping compliance for international shipments. Proactively resolve any shipping or fulfillment issues and provide status updates to internal teams and external accounts. Organise and chase wholesale account deposit and delivery invoices
Vendor & Supplier Coordination
Source, vet, and maintain relationships with global manufacturers, mills, and trim suppliers. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and MOQs (minimum order quantities). Implement quality control protocols and resolve vendor compliance issues.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Design, Product Development, and Merchandising to align production needs with brand vision and launch goals. Work closely with Quality Assurance to meet all performance, compliance, and ethical manufacturing standards.
Data & Reporting
Maintain accurate production documentation and reporting (e.g., purchase orders, delivery schedules, production trackers). Analyze cost, efficiency, and performance KPIs to inform continuous improvement.
Qualifications, Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field. 2+ years of experience in production or supply chain management in the fashion industry (apparel, footwear, or accessories). Proven experience managing offshore production and working with global vendor bases. Prior experience working with wholesale accounts is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, garment construction, raw materials, and compliance regulations. Understanding of Zedonk Excellent project management, negotiation, and communication skills. Confident in customer-facing communication and relationship management. Data-driven with strong analytical and organisational abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
