Head of Finance and Corporate Services | Full-time and Permanent | Salary up to £51,000 | Remote (expectation to go into the office 1-2 days a month) | London

Ashley Kate are thrilled to be working with our client who are a not for profit organisation as they search for a Head of Finance and Corporate services to join the team. In this role you will lead critical functions, including finance, HR, IT, and office management. You will play a key role in strategic planning, staff engagement, and safeguarding while providing expert advice across the organisation. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services, you’ll manage a diverse team and collaborate with stakeholders to drive growth and success.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  1. Lead the preparation of annual budgets for departments to oversee the monitoring of income and expenditure in relation to those budgets and present regular management reports to the relevant committee.
  2. Lead and implement a strategy and plan for HR services and support including policy & employment law, talent acquisition, retention, learning & development, compensation & benefits and employee relations.
  3. Lead on safeguarding, this role will be the safeguard lead for the organisation.
  4. Lead and implement a strategy and plan for financial control and planning.
  5. Lead and implement a strategy and plan for increasing staff engagement and satisfaction.
  6. Report to Committees and our Governance on relevant issues.
  7. Manage and develop staff teams.

About You:

  1. Strong Financial experience especially with reporting and budgeting.
  2. Safeguarding knowledge.
  3. Strong ability to manage the finances of a £5m+ organisation.
  4. Strong ability to lead the HR function of a 60+ person organisation.
  5. Strong ability to communicate simply and clearly, both verbally and in writing, and adapt messages to audiences.
  6. Excellent ability to adapt your approach to the working styles of different people, at all levels of seniority.
  7. Strong judgement and discretion in highly sensitive environments.
