Ashley Kate are excited to be recruiting for our well established, manufacturing client to cover a period of Maternity Leave. They seek a HR Manager/ Business Partner to be based at their Melton site (hybrid) for a minimum of 12 months. The role will report into the global HR Director, with 1 direct report, and work alongside a wider HR team. Partnering with the senior leadership team and a wide range of stakeholders within the business, this role will manage the overall HR function. This is a fast paced unionised environment, offering a variety of both strategic and operational responsibility.

The role:
- Working with the Directors to develop HR strategy and initiatives
- Supporting and guiding Managers and Directors with day to day HR issues and employee relations
- Reviewing, developing and implementing a wide range of new policies, procedures and processes
- Talent management and succession planning
- Review, develop and lead in all Recruitment & Selection activity
- Lead in Change management projects focusing on the business structures, redundancy and consultations
- Analysing HR Metrics and reporting to SMT
- Oversee payroll
- Union negotiations/communications
To be considered you will be an experienced HR Manager or Business Partner from a blue collar background. You will have experience of leading in change projects and the planning side, but you won't be afraid to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in from the ground up as this is a very hands on operational role. We seek someone who can build relationships, who wants to work with all levels of the business with a people focused mindset. You will be CIPD qualified or working towards. The role is based at their Melton site with occasional travel to other local sites.
