Ashley Kate HR & Finance are partnering with an established and forward-thinking organisation to recruit a Head of Finance Business Partnering to join their senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a pivotal role responsible for leading and developing a newly formed Business Partnering function during an exciting period of transformation.
As Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will provide strategic direction and leadership to the Business Partnering team across both revenue and capital expenditure. You will play a key role in supporting budget holders and senior stakeholders, ensuring high-quality financial insight and decision-making support across the organisation. You will also lead the team through a period of systems improvement, automation, and process efficiency, helping to maximise capability and deliver added value.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead, develop and manage the Finance Business Partnering function
- Oversee budget setting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes (revenue & capital)
- Co-ordinate and review the annual budgeting cycle and input into the wider Business Plan
- Deliver insightful monthly financial performance reporting for senior stakeholders
- Build strong relationships with budget holders and departments, acting as a trusted advisor
- Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting automation and efficiencies
- Lead the team through organisational and process change, embedding a new way of working
- Support year-end processes and overall financial governance
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a senior finance business partnering or leadership role
- Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis
- A collaborative, stakeholder-focused approach with excellent communication skills
