We are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on an initial 3-month temporary contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional who can hit the ground running and support a fast-paced accounts function. Working within a supportive finance team and reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with a variety of transactional and analytical accounting duties.
Key responsibilities:
- Posting and allocating cash receipts
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable reconciliations
- Preparing and posting journals
- Employee ledger reconciliations
- Data analysis and reporting
- Costings and financial analysis
- Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day accounting duties
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 12 months experience in a similar Accounts Assistant position
- Proven experience carrying out reconciliations, journals, and transactional accounting activities
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills
- Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to analyse and manipulate data
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics
