Full-time | £40,000 per annum | Alnwick area | Site-based role

I’m pleased to be supporting our client in their search for an experienced and passionate Talent & Culture Manager to join their growing hospitality group based in North Northumberland. Reporting to the Managing Director, this is a brand new role and they will need someone who is hands-on, people-focused position, ideal for someone with a hospitality background who understands the pace, personality, and passion that drives this industry.

As Talent & Culture Manager, you’ll take ownership of all things recruitment, retention, and people development across a multi-site business (approx. 80 FTE). You’ll bring fresh ideas and energy to attract, onboard, and retain great people while helping shape a culture where everyone feels supported, valued, and motivated to stay, building teams, improving processes, and creating an engaging place to work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Attraction
    • Lead end-to-end recruitment across all sites, ensuring a proactive, structured, and consistent approach.
    • Build relationships with local schools, colleges, and training providers to create future talent pipelines.
    • Champion employer branding and promote the business as a great place to work.
  • Onboarding & Induction
    • Redesign and deliver engaging induction programmes that set new starters up for success.
    • Ensure a seamless and positive onboarding journey from offer to first day.
  • Training & Development
    • Work with operational managers to identify training needs and development opportunities.
    • Introduce structured training plans, coaching, and refresher sessions across departments.
    • Oversee mandatory training compliance and encourage ongoing learning.
  • Engagement & Retention
    • Develop initiatives that listen to and act on employee feedback.
    • Create a calendar of staff recognition, wellbeing, and team-building events.
    • Support managers to foster open communication and strong working relationships.
    • Analyse retention data to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Culture & Communication
    • Act as a visible, approachable presence across the sites with an open-door attitude.
    • Support the rollout of internal communication tools and employee engagement campaigns.
About You
  • Proven background in hospitality or events.
  • You must have a proven background in talent development plans, including onboarding, wellbeing, engagement and staff retention.
  • Ideally you will have worked in hospitality, Retail, FMCG, or similar fast paced environments.
  • Confident communicator able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Creative, proactive, and not afraid to bring new ideas to the table.
  • You must be able to work evenings and weekends on occasion to meet the needs of the business (typically 9–5:30 Mon-Friday).
  • A true people person who leads by example and makes a visible impact.
