Ashley Kate HR & Finance are pleased to be working with a food manufacturing business to recruit for a People Advisor Lead, supporting 3 different sites within a large organisation. This is a hands‐on HR, Recruitment and wellbeing focused role, ideal for a HR professional who thrives in fast paced environments and is confident leading HR activity across a sizeable workforce.
Location: Lichfield + Hybrid
Salary: £34,200 + Bonus
Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week
33 Days Holiday per year with the option to purchase up to 2 extra weeks
Role Responsibilities:
- Support hiring managers through the full recruitment process, from vacancy approval to offer stage.
- Proactively source candidates via networking, CV databases, headhunting and social media.
- Partner with HR on retention, wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
- Manage all recruitment administration, reporting and compliance activity.
- Lead onboarding and ensure effective new starter integration.
- Support HR communications, including bulletins and employee forums.
- Deliver recruitment activity across platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook.
- Train and coach recruiters and managers on interviewing, supporting leadership development programmes.
- Build strong agency relationships, managing SLAs, PSLs and quality standards.
- Produce recruitment KPIs, manage audits, and ensure right‐to‐work, visa and interim compliance.
- Support wider HR initiatives and provide cover for the HR Manager and HR Advisor as required.
- Comply at all times with site rules and health and safety procedures.
- Act promptly to support colleagues or visitors in hazardous situations and escalate concerns to supervisors.
- Report accidents, near‐misses, hazards and improvement ideas.
- Participate in relevant risk assessments and support the implementation of safety measures.
- Contribute to incident investigations where required and support preventative actions.
- Engage in safety discussions and communications led by management, promoting safe working behaviours.
About you:
- Proven experience delivering recruitment in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment, ideally FMCG.
- Demonstrable involvement in retention, wellbeing and engagement initiatives.
- Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems, with the ability to act as a system expert.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and meet competing deadlines.
- Confident communicator who builds strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Resilient and comfortable working under pressure in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative team player who values sharing knowledge and best practice.
- Detail‐oriented with a creative, solutions‐focused approach to problem‐solving.
