Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of financial accounting, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks (50% accounting / 50% admin & bookkeeping).
  • Maintain accurate financial records using Sage accounting software.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable, including communication with debtors and creditors.
  • Prepare and submit financial reports and returns to HMRC.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
  • Support payroll and VAT submissions.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors and tax authorities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a sole-charge accounting role.
  • Strong accountancy background with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Sage software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Experience in the construction industry is essential.
  • Confident communicator with HMRC and financial stakeholders.
