Ashley Kate HR & Finance are partnering with a well-established, privately owned international group to appoint a Group Company Secretary. This is a rare opportunity to join a stable, growing organisation with multiple operating businesses across the UK and North America.
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the company secretarial and governance function across six autonomous operating businesses. This is a broad, influential role requiring a balance of legal awareness, financial understanding, and strong interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading all company secretarial duties, including filings with Companies House and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Organising and attending board meetings, preparing agendas, and producing accurate minutes
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, including CEOs, COOs, and the Chair
- Managing group-level governance, ensuring consistency across multiple entities
- Overseeing insurance programmes and supporting banking relationships
- Supporting intercompany transactions and maintaining a neutral, balanced group perspective
- Providing oversight and coordination support to finance activities across the group
- Taking responsibility for group IT oversight (non-technical, coordination level)
- Building strong relationships across HR, finance, and operational leadership teams
There will be occasional travel within the UK and potential international travel (North America) from year two.

You will likely bring:
- Experience in a Company Secretary, Governance, or similar senior role
- A strong financial background (ideally qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
