A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Manager to join a well-established organisation operating across South Yorkshire. With around 100 employees and offices in Sheffield, Rotherham, and Barnsley, this is a truly pivotal standalone role where you will shape the HR function and drive forward change.
After several years of stability, the business is ready to take a fresh look at its people strategy. The incoming HR Manager will be instrumental in reviewing current practices, implementing improvements, and supporting the leadership team to develop a modern, forward-thinking approach to HR.
The role
You’ll be both hands‑on and strategic – responsible for day‑to‑day HR operations while also leading longer‑term planning and transformation. This includes:
- Reviewing all HR processes, policies, and systems to identify efficiencies and improvements.
- Acting as the key point of contact for all HR matters, advising the MD and shareholders.
- Supporting managers and staff across all three sites with employee relations, performance, and engagement.
- Ensuring HR practices remain compliant, consistent, and aligned with business goals.
- Leading on HR Strategy moving forwards.
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is confident operating in a standalone HR role with a mix of operational and strategic responsibilities.
- Has a proven track record of driving change and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Is approachable, pragmatic, and passionate about building a people‑first culture.
