Salary: Β£45,000 β Β£55,000 (DOE)
Location: Derbyshire (Hybrid, 3 days on-site)
We\βre seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in Derbyshire. This role is ideal for someone confident in running payroll end to end, who enjoys working autonomously and being the trusted payroll expert within the organisation.
You\βll oversee payroll for approximately 1,200 employees, supported by a capable and experienced team. With hybrid working and a friendly, supportive culture, this is a great opportunity to take real ownership of payroll operations.
Please note: in order to be considered for this role, you must have used SAP.
The role:
Manage the full end-to-end payroll process (weekly and monthly), ensuring accuracy and compliance
Support, guide, and work closely with a dedicated payroll team
Act as the main point of contact for payroll queries across the business
Maintain accurate payroll data and reporting using SAP
Work collaboratively with HR and Finance to ensure seamless payroll delivery
Lead small projects to improve processes and implement changes
Stay up to date with payroll legislation and ensure ongoing complianceAbout you:
Proven experience in a payroll management role, ideally within manufacturing or a similar sector
Confident working independently and managing regular payroll cycles
Strong working knowledge of SAP payroll systems (essential)
Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation, pensions, and statutory requirements
Approachable and clear communicator, comfortable engaging at all levels
Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownershipDesirable:
CIPP qualification or similar
Experience working with unionised or multi-site environmentsWhat\βs on offer:
