Are you an experienced HR professional looking for an opportunity to make a real impact within a well-established organisation undergoing continued change and transformation? We are recruiting for an HR Business Partner to join a forward-thinking organisation based in Hertfordshire. This is a hands-on generalist role where you'll partner closely with managers across the business, providing expert advice and guidance throughout the employee lifecycle while leading on complex people matters.
Working in a hybrid environment, you'll play a key role in supporting organisational objectives, driving best practice and helping managers navigate a range of employee relations and change programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex, high-volume employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and performance issues
- Lead investigations, hearings and the production of outcome reports
- Support and deliver organisational change initiatives, restructures and TUPE transfers
- Provide expert advice on employment law, HR policy and best practice
- Contribute to the development, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple service areas, influencing and challenging where appropriate
- Partner with managers to drive effective people management practices and positive employee outcomes
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR experience
- Previous experience within local government or the wider public sector (essential)
- Strong end-to-end employee relations experience
- Proven experience managing organisational change projects and TUPE transfers
- Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The confidence to influence, challenge and support managers at all levels
