Accounts & Payroll Specialist

Location: Goole

Full-time | Permanent

£32,000 - £37,000 DOE

Our client, a successful and well-established manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Specialist to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role within a supportive, down-to-earth organisation that values accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounts functions, including reconciliations and supplier payments.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and support with year-end accounts.
  • Process monthly payroll and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Assist the Management Accountant with monthly reporting and audit preparation.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience in accounts management and payroll.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 200, payroll systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with VAT returns and year-end submissions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Background in a manufacturing or production finance environment (desirable).
