Ashley Kate HR & Finance are partnering with our valued client in the search for an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage and deliver accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services. You will also support HR systems and data processes, helping drive efficiency and informed decision-making across People Services.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing and act as liaison with the external payroll provider
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, statutory payments, holiday pay, etc.)
  • Administer maternity, sick pay, and other leave entitlements
  • Maintain payroll systems, including upgrades, testing, and data accuracy
  • Conduct audits, reconciliations, and implement pay awards and contractual changes
  • Manage pension administration, including auto-enrolment and contributions
  • Provide expert advice to staff and managers on payroll and pensions
  • Support HR systems, reporting, and data analysis
  • Assist wider People Services activities, including recruitment and employee records

  • Experience with HR/payroll systems

  • Able to handle confidential information with integrity
