Job Title: Financial Accountant
Location: Sheffield, S6 – Fully On-Site
Salary: 27.39 per hour ( 21,039 take-home for 8 days/month)
Hours: Approx. 64 hours per month – 8 days total

We are working with a privately owned manufacturing business, The company has a welcoming culture and is looking for someone who\’s ready to get stuck in and make an immediate impact.
Whether you\’re returning to the workforce, nearing retirement but still looking to stay involved, or simply seeking part-time flexibility – this role offers genuine work-life balance and an excellent opportunity to add value in a small but busy finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full month-end accounting
- Fixed asset register maintenance & depreciation calculations
- Sales, rebate, and stillages calculations
- NRV testing, QA rejection reviews
- Journal preparation, stock summary, and P&L reporting
- Cost centre & balance sheet analysis
- Maintenance & utility cost reporting
- VAT returns (quarterly)
- Intercompany invoicing & trial balance updates
- Year-end & audit support (Praetura audits)
- Grant claim submissions and invoice gathering
- Foreign currency revaluations (EUR/USD customers, suppliers, and bank accounts)
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing industry
- Strong knowledge of Sage and financial accounting practices
- Practical understanding of import tax, European accounting, and audit support
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-paced team with limited automation
- Reliable and adaptable – able to manage key deadlines with minimal oversight
