South Region - Retail / Hospitality / Leisure Sector Field-Based | Extensive Travel Required
Are you an energetic, down-to-earth HR Business Partner who thrives in fast-paced, people-centric environments? Do you bring experience from retail, hospitality, leisure, or similarly high-volume, operational industries? If so, this regional role could be your next exciting step.
We're supporting a dynamic and growing business in the search for a Regional HR Business Partner to cover key sites across the South, including Bournemouth, Farnham, Eastleigh, Gosport and others. This organisation operates full-on, high-energy sites with diverse customer profiles from family-friendly experiences to member-focused locations and even stag-do-style events. No two days look the same.
General Managers are deeply operational and hands-on, so the HRBP plays a critical role in leadership development, capability building, coaching, and supporting managers with real-world people challenges. This is not a desk-based HR role; it's a visible, trusted partner position for someone who loves being out on site and working with people at all levels.
Regional HR Business Partner - About the role- Partnering with GM's, Assistant Managers and department leaders to build capability, confidence and consistency in people leadership
- Supporting a wide range of HR issues including ER, safeguarding situations, performance management, talent, culture, and team engagement
- Working closely with a Divisional Director and the People & Culture Director, ensuring they are freed from day-to-day people escalations
- Coaching leaders with very different experience levels, some highly seasoned, others new and developing
- Embedding culture, brand values, leadership behaviours and people frameworks
- Navigating a fast-paced environment where sites 'come alive' between 3pm and late evening
- Understanding the operational intensity of each location and adapting your style accordingly
- Handling environments with high volumes of frontline employees
- Working with third-party HR providers as needed
This role also includes occasional involvement with alternative education provision onsite, requiring good judgment around safeguarding and risk.
