We are currently seeking a Bindery Assistant, Print Finisher and Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team and support the final stages of our production process. If you’re enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a thriving business, this could be the role for you!
This is a full time role.
Responsibilities
- Support the Bindery department by assisting with machinery operation, maintenance and general tasks.
- Prior experience with bindery machinery such as guillotines, folding machines, stitching machines, Heidelberg cylinders, and perfect binders is preferred.
- Carry out finishing tasks including hand-finishing and boxing of products from the production lines.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure deadlines are met and customer expectations are exceeded.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized workspace, following all health and safety regulations.
- Pack boxes and securely strap pallets for outgoing deliveries.
- Sort, organise, and label daily paper deliveries for the press room.
- Deliver finished products to customers; a polite and professional demeanor is essential.
- Basic training will be provided.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Experience: Previous experience in a printing or bindery environment is essential.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with bindery machinery and processes is required.
- Attention to Detail: High standards for quality control with a focus on precision and accuracy.
- Teamwork: Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, collaborative team.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and able to lift materials and stand for extended periods.
- Driving Requirements: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, as the role includes customer deliveries using our company van.
- Fork Lift Experience: Forklift operation experience is beneficial, though not essential.
