As a Senior Transport Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering your own projects from inception through to completion whilst also assisting colleagues with larger and more complicated projects. You will work closely with clients, local authorities and fellow consultants to provide high-quality transport planning advice and achieve successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing transport planning projects from initial concept through to successful delivery.
- Producing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
- Supporting the delivery of larger, high-profile development projects alongside colleagues.
- Liaising with clients, local authorities and other key stakeholders to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- Undertaking junction capacity assessments and analysing transport data using industry-standard software.
- Providing technical guidance and mentoring to more junior members of the team.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest professional standards.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of five years' experience within a UK development planning transport consultancy.
- A degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK transport planning policy, standards and guidance.
- Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
- Experience using GIS software.
- Familiarity with TRICS and TEMPro.
- Experience in using Junctions 11 (PICADY and ARCADY) and LinSig.
- Excellent report writing, analytical and communication skills.
- Good project management abilities with experience managing multiple projects.
- Confidence when liaising with clients, local authorities and other project consultants.
- A full UK driving licence.
