We are recruiting a Service Supervisor for our reputable client on a permanent basis.
Location: Devizes, Wiltshire
Salary: Up to £40,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
About our Client hiring a Service Supervisor:
Our client is seeking an experienced Service Supervisor to support the Service Manager and workshop team. This role would suit someone from a Plant, Agricultural, Quarry, HGV or similar heavy industry background who is looking to move off the tools into an office-based service role.
Key Responsibilities as a Service Supervisor:
- Support the Service Manager with the daily running of the service department
- Organise and coordinate workshop workload
- Provide technical advice and support to engineers
- Help improve service department performance and efficiency
- Liaise with engineers, workshop staff and management
- Assist with service planning, job allocation and workflow
- Maintain high standards of organisation, communication and customer service
- Work in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements
Requirements for the Service Supervisor role:
- Experience within heavy industry is essential
- Hands-on engineering, fitting or mechanical experience would be beneficial
- Strong technical understanding of heavy equipment or machinery
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Able to support engineers with technical queries
- Confident working in an office-based service environment
- Previous experience as a Service Supervisor, Workshop Supervisor, Service Controller, Workshop Controller or Service Coordinator would be advantageous
