We are recruiting a Service Supervisor for our reputable client on a permanent basis.

Location: Devizes, Wiltshire

Salary: Up to £40,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

About our Client hiring a Service Co-ordinator:

Our client is seeking an experienced Service Co-ordinator to support the Service Manager and workshop team. This role would suit someone from a Plant, Agricultural, Quarry, HGV or similar heavy industry background who is looking to move off the tools into an office-based service role.

Key Responsibilities as a Service Co-ordinator:

  • Support the Service Manager with the daily running of the service department
  • Organise and coordinate workshop workload
  • Provide technical advice and support to engineers
  • Help improve service department performance and efficiency
  • Liaise with engineers, workshop staff and management
  • Assist with service planning, job allocation and workflow
  • Maintain high standards of organisation, communication and customer service
  • Work in line with company procedures and health and safety requirements

Requirements for the Service Co-ordinator:

  • Experience within heavy industry is essential
  • Hands-on engineering, fitting or mechanical experience would be beneficial
  • Strong technical understanding of heavy equipment or machinery
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Able to support engineers with technical queries
  • Confident working in an office-based service environment
  • Previous experience as a Service Supervisor, Workshop Supervisor, Service Controller, Workshop Controller or Service Coordinator would be advantageous
