We are recruiting a Mechanical Designer for our reputable client on a permanent basis.

About our Client hiring a Mechanical Designer:
Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer to support new and existing valve projects. This permanent opportunity will involve producing engineering drawings, Bills of Materials and Installation, Operating and Maintenance manuals to agreed quality standards and timescales.
Key Responsibilities as a Mechanical Designer:
- Provide 3D design concepts and planning drawings to meet sales briefs
- Produce designs and drawings to BS8888 standards
- Create Installation, Operating and Maintenance manuals to meet customer and production requirements
- Modify designs and drawings as required to support continual improvement and DFM changes
- Issue and control drawings in line with company procedures
- Maintain filing systems and general drawing office housekeeping
- Transfer legacy drawings into the updated CAD PDM system
- Control parts identification and compile BOMs using the company’s supply chain management system
- Check own work for accuracy and completeness
