About the Role
We are recruiting a Goods In & Out Operator for a long-established manufacturing company. This role suits someone organised, reliable, and hands-on, with strong attention to detail and experience working in a warehouse, stores, or production environment. You will play a key part in ensuring materials flow efficiently through the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and dispatch goods
- Check loads for damaged or missing items
- Store goods in correct locations and maintain organised stock areas
- Prepare, pack, and load items for shipment
- Book transport for outgoing deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of all goods movements
- Move and rearrange stock manually or using lifting equipment
- Support WIP movements between production cells
- Conduct monthly stock counts and reconcile inventory
- General housekeeping to keep the warehouse safe and tidy
- Liaise with other departments to coordinate workloads
- Assist with swarf collection and recycling
- Provide cover for forklift/warehouse duties when required
Requirements
- Previous experience in goods in/out, stores, warehouse, or similar role
- Knowledge of stock control and basic IT/data entry skills
- Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
- Capable of working both independently and within a team
- Physically fit for manual handling tasks
- Driving ability for company van use
- Forklift experience or willingness to undertake training
Desirable Skills
- Experience using stock control or ERP systems
- Forklift certification
- Strong spatial awareness to optimise storage layouts
