About the Role

We are recruiting a Goods In & Out Operator for a long-established manufacturing company. This role suits someone organised, reliable, and hands-on, with strong attention to detail and experience working in a warehouse, stores, or production environment. You will play a key part in ensuring materials flow efficiently through the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and dispatch goods
  • Check loads for damaged or missing items
  • Store goods in correct locations and maintain organised stock areas
  • Prepare, pack, and load items for shipment
  • Book transport for outgoing deliveries
  • Maintain accurate records of all goods movements
  • Move and rearrange stock manually or using lifting equipment
  • Support WIP movements between production cells
  • Conduct monthly stock counts and reconcile inventory
  • General housekeeping to keep the warehouse safe and tidy
  • Liaise with other departments to coordinate workloads
  • Assist with swarf collection and recycling
  • Provide cover for forklift/warehouse duties when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience in goods in/out, stores, warehouse, or similar role
  • Knowledge of stock control and basic IT/data entry skills
  • Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
  • Capable of working both independently and within a team
  • Physically fit for manual handling tasks
  • Driving ability for company van use
  • Forklift experience or willingness to undertake training

Desirable Skills

  • Experience using stock control or ERP systems
  • Forklift certification
  • Strong spatial awareness to optimise storage layouts
