The Role
As a Production Planner / Buyer, you will create and maintain a master schedule for materials, balancing supply and demand to ensure production meets customer requirements in full and on time. This role requires strong organizational skills, effective supplier management, and collaboration with internal teams to maintain smooth operations
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a master schedule to balance supply and demand for production.
- Manage sales orders in Sage X3, coordinating with Customer Services.
- Participate in contract reviews for orders received, due, and tenders.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Customer Services and Production, to prioritize work orders.
- Create and close work orders to support sales order fulfillment.
- Manage procurement of components, ensuring timely delivery to meet production schedules.
- Provide accurate lead times to Customer Services.
- Ensure smooth material flow through the MRP system
- Monitor incoming shipments, resolve exceptions, and expedite when necessary.
- Track inventory status, investigate discrepancies, and advise on stock levels
- Handle ERP transactions, including stock movements, scrap allocation, and cycle counts.

- Proven experience in production planning, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise across teams.
- Proficiency in managing material flow through MRP systems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight production schedules.
- Problem-solving skills to resolve inventory and shipment issues efficiently.
- Experience with Sage X3, MRP systems, or Nectari is highly desirable.
- Previous planning experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
