Ashley Court Care Home is looking for a compassionate, dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our caring team.
As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, while also supporting and guiding other members of the care team.
Key responsibilities
- Providing person-centred care and support to residents
- Assisting residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily activities
- Supporting residents to maintain their dignity, independence and choice
- Monitoring residents' wellbeing and reporting any concerns appropriately
- Completing accurate care records and documentation
- Administering medication where trained and authorised to do so
- Supporting care staff and helping to coordinate daily duties
- Leading by example and promoting high standards of care
- Communicating effectively with residents, relatives and healthcare professionals
- Supporting the Home Manager and senior team with the smooth running of the home
- Following safeguarding, health and safety and infection-control procedures
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working in a care or healthcare setting
- Has a genuine passion for caring for older people
- Is confident, reliable and organised
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Can work effectively as part of a team
- Is able to take responsibility and provide guidance to other care staffUnderstands the importance of dignity, privacy and person-centred care
- Is willing to undertake relevant training and development
- A relevant care qualification, such as an NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, is desirable.
