You will have the chance to drive social inclusion and real change for marginalised individuals, supporting them to feel seen, respected and empowered, whilst shaping the services that positively affect their lives.

With flexible working, training and development opportunities and the chance to be part of a social enterprise changing lives, this is a fantastic role in which to grow your career while making a real difference. If you are ready to help create stronger connections, amplify resident voices and support positive change, read on and apply today.

As a Resident Engagement Officer, you will support the delivery of our Social Housing Innovation Fund project, Trusted Voices: A Council of Elders Model for Refugee Resident Engagement. Within this practical, community engagement role, you will work closely with the Resident Engagement Lead, delivering workshops, drop-in sessions, peer discussions and other engagement activities that help residents feel heard, included and empowered. You will also encourage participation through culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches and help identify and remove barriers to engagement.

  • Liaise with residents, interpreters and community representatives
  • Collect resident feedback, case studies and programme data

To be considered as a Resident Engagement Officer, you will need:

  • Experience working directly with diverse communities, particularly refugees, migrants, or socially excluded groups
  • Experience supporting or facilitating community activities, workshops, or engagement sessions
  • Experience building positive relationships with individuals from different cultural backgrounds
  • An understanding of the challenges faced by refugee and migrant communities
  • To be educated to Level 3 or have equivalent experience in community engagement, housing, social care, youth work, or a related field
