We are seeking an enthusiastic, team‑orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Ashleigh Vets, Chorlton on a full‑time basis. Ashleigh Vets is a busy and supportive small animal and exotics practice that operates across our Chorlton and Sale sites, with a dedicated Avian and Exotic referral clinic based at Chorlton. We are proud to offer a varied caseload across multiple species, providing an exciting opportunity for nurses looking to expand their clinical experience in both small animal and exotic care. Our friendly and knowledgeable team works collaboratively to deliver high standards of veterinary care, with a strong focus on patient welfare and client relationships.
How You’ll Make a Difference
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. This is a varied and hands‑on role where you will be involved in all aspects of nursing, including admissions, anaesthesia, assisting in surgery, inpatient care, recovery, nurse consultations, pharmacy duties, and client communication. With exposure to both small animal and exotic cases, no two days will be the same. This is a full‑time role working 40 hours per week over 4 days, Monday to Friday, with a 1 in 5 weekend rota. Shifts vary between 8:00am and 7:45pm, with a scheduled day off each week. Weekend hours include Saturday mornings (8:00am‑12:00pm) and Sundays (9:00am‑11:30am), with participation in a bank holiday rota.

- Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing
- Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery
- Run and support nurse consultations, promoting preventative healthcare and client engagement
