Oaklea Complex Care Unit, a 26-bed specialist service within Ashlea Court Care Home, provides high-quality, person-centred care for individuals living with complex conditions, including dementia. Part of Willinbrook Healthcare, the specialist division of Care Concern Group, Oaklea is dedicated to delivering outstanding, compassionate care in a calm and supportive environment.

We are now looking for an enthusiastic and caring Activities Coordinator to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity to use your creativity and empathy to plan and deliver engaging activities that enrich the lives of our residents and support their emotional, physical, and social wellbeing.

  • £12.21 per hour
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Rota over 7 days (including weekends and occasional evenings)
  • Paid PVG, uniform provided, pension scheme
  • Free onsite parking
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

Your Role

As an Activities Coordinator, you will design and deliver a varied and stimulating programme of activities tailored to residents’ needs, interests, and abilities. You will take time to get to know each person individually, ensuring every activity is meaningful and inclusive. From group sessions to one-to-one engagement, your role will bring enjoyment, comfort, and a sense of purpose to each resident’s day. You will work closely with colleagues and families to ensure that activities complement care plans and promote overall wellbeing.

About You

You are compassionate, creative, and organised, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others. You have excellent communication skills and the confidence to lead group sessions and encourage participation. Experience in activity coordination, recreation, or event planning within a care home is desirable, but above all, you bring warmth, enthusiasm, and a caring nature.
