We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant and welcoming primary school community in Ilkley. The successful candidate will:

  • work within our Early Years Team, across nursery and reception to support all children to achieve well
  • be a team player with a strong work ethic
  • promote pupils' independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
  • give support to pupils individually or in groups under the supervision of the class teachers
  • be flexible and willing to work across the key stage as required
  • enjoy working and supporting children with SEN needs
  • be consistent and understand routines
  • be patient, caring and a good communicator
  • be resourceful and able to take initiative

A good level of literacy and numeracy are desirable for this post. Required to start September 2026, this post is fixed term in the first instance until July 2027 with a view to becoming permanent for a strong applicant.
