Responsibilities
As a Retail Sales Assistant, you will support the Retail Manager and wider team in the day‑to‑day running of our Matlock Shops. Your responsibilities will include overseeing staff, managing stock, preparing and merchandising products, and supporting the recruitment, training, and development of volunteers.
- Ensure the high standard of customer service expected by Ashgate Hospice shops is always maintained.
- Actively support fundraising promotions as directed by the Hospice or Manager.
- Implement shop promotions as directed.
- Support the training, development, and motivation of staff and volunteers.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities and targets.
- Knowledge of cash handling and banking protocol.
- Experience as a key holder.
- Successful completion of a DBS check and vaccination against COVID‑19 and flu jab, unless exempt.
