We are searching for an enthusiastic and organised Payments Team Assistant to join our Finance team on a part time and permanent basis. Working days for this role include Monday- Wednesday with Wednesday a team anchor day in the Exeter office.
The finance team is central for managing the firm finances including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. Working efficiently and accurately to deadlines, responsibilities include monitoring and managing our internal practice management systems through the processing of bank account receipts and payments, dealing with financial posting of all monies received into the office and to be sent out and monitoring these outstanding transactions.
Being able to take in and deliver clear messages is key, as well as being professional and confidential towards client matters, the wider firm and supporting your colleagues when needed. Responsibilities also include answering account queries from departments and clients including re-opening files, posting interest and taking debit card payments from clients.
Who you are
You will be someone who is highly-organised and comfortable with the prospect of prioritising a varied workload to ensure that we’re providing an efficient service to Ashfords’ people. A positive, can-do attitude is therefore key!
You will already have some administrative experience, preferably in a professional services setting, and you will be eager to join a friendly and supportive team. Strong interpersonal skills enable you to use effective communication at all levels and your ability to remain calm under pressure means you are able to meet scheduled work deadlines.
You will have an eye for detail and are confident in working with numbers, spreadsheets and internal databases.
