The partners in the team are ranked by Legal 500 as being ‘Leading Partners’.
You will be reporting directly to and working closely with the partners and working in a team that advises on all aspects of corporate and property taxes, together with capital gains tax and VAT. We provide bespoke tax structuring solutions to corporate organisations advising on reorganisations, demergers and group consolidations together with advising on tax efficient investment structures. We also have substantial experience of cross-border matters advising multinational clients. Our clients include fast growing businesses and their management teams, family businesses, established corporate groups, international groups, PLCs and property investment companies, meaning you’ll have plenty of variety in your work.
A friendly and welcoming team who prioritise finding solutions rather than problems, you will take time to understand what our clients wish to achieve and apply your expertise and experience to ensure delivering a desirable outcome.
Who you are
Having worked within a successful Corporate Tax team in either a similar sized regional or city law firm, you will be a strong communicator with sound technical and organisational skills. With expertise in Corporate Tax, you will have a proven track record of success, with a good eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
From the outset you will be responsible for dealing with high quality, high value work, so you will have experience in advising on a wide range of corporate tax transactions across a varied client base. As a natural communicator, you will build strong relationships with both internal and external clients, ensuring you deliver the best outcome to our clients.
Above all, you will have an ambition and enthusiasm to continually build upon your experience, whilst having a client orientated approach and strong team skills and possess the drive to continue to contribute to the future success of the firm.
Ask our people, and they will tell you that they genuinely enjoy coming to work and spending time with their colleagues. We’re confident that once you discover our open and friendly culture, it won’t take long for you to feel the same.
We have a genuine team approach at Ashfords because we know that when talented people work together, we achieve more for our clients and each other. We also recognise that each of our career journeys is unique. So, we will be ambitious for you and give you the support you need to develop your career, your way.
Importantly, we will give you the space and flexibility for your life outside work too. Our goal? To help you realise your full potential as part of a forward-thinking team and business. That’s what sets us apart.
Our offer
We offer a range of benefits to support you at work and at home. This includes a flexible working framework, extra annual leave for your birthday and the option to buy more holiday. We have a comprehensive package to support physical and mental health, healthcare plans, an Employee Assistance programme and free access to the Calm mindfulness app. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in our responsible business programme, including taking part in fundraising initiatives and bringing your energy to our environment or diversity groups.
