September 2026 start. Fixed term for one academic year – Term Time Only. Ashford School is seeking outstanding, committed and enthusiastic Sports Graduates whose principal duty will be to help coach and deliver the Ashford School sports programme. The programme fields competitive teams in all major team games, swimming, biathlon, athletics and tennis, and aims to promote lifelong participation in sport.

This is a fixed term residential appointment (September 2026 to August 2027) designed to give graduates considering a teaching or coaching career the opportunity to experience life in a boarding school as fully as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Support the School's ethos of competitive sport and participate in the games programme at both the Prep and Senior Schools.
  • Assist the Heads of Sport with organising, coaching and preparing for fixtures.
Qualifications and Skills
  • High level of experience in playing and coaching in one of the main team games: Football, Rugby, Netball, Hockey and/or Cricket.
  • Willingness to help in other sports.
  • Ability to undertake boarding duties as part of a rota (live in on-site accommodation, mornings/evenings/weekends).
