Role Summary
Ashford Prep School is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENDCO to lead our Special Educational Needs provision from Nursery to Year 6. This significant part‑time teaching role involves driving inclusive practice, overseeing identification and personalised plans, ensuring statutory compliance, and working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupil progress.
Responsibilities
- Drive inclusive practice across the school.
- Oversee identification of pupils\’ needs and the development of personalised plans.
- Ensure statutory compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to support pupil progress.
Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Either hold or be willing to undertake the SENCO qualification.
- Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Experience coordinating SEND provision.
