Ashford Recruitment are proud to bring to market a live vacancy for a Bookkeeper to join our team. We are looking for a reliable, organised and experienced Bookkeeper to join our growing team. This is an important role within the business, supporting the day-to-day financial administration and ensuring our accounts and financial records are accurate and up to date. About the Role

As our Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of our accounts function. Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and bookkeeping systems
  • Processing sales and purchase invoices
  • Recording and reconciling payments and receipts
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Monitoring outstanding invoices and assisting with credit control
  • Processing supplier payments
  • Preparing financial information and reports for management
  • Assisting with payroll-related administration where required
  • Maintaining accurate records in line with company procedures
  • Supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes
  • Liaising with suppliers, clients and internal colleagues regarding financial queries
  • Ensuring all financial information is handled confidentially and securely
  • Providing general administrative support to the business when required

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in a bookkeeping or accounts role
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident working with figures and financial information
  • Comfortable working independently and managing their own workload
  • Reliable, professional and trustworthy
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Experienced with accounting/bookkeeping software
  • Able to work accurately to deadlines
  • A good communicator with a professional and approachable manner
  • Discreet when dealing with confidential financial and employee information

Previous experience within a recruitment, staffing or agency environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
