Warehouse Operative / Container Handballer
Location: Graverley Industrial Estate, Aston, Birmingham, B24 8HZ
Pay: £12.91 per hour
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-5:00pm
Start Date: Tuesday next week
About the Role
Ashford Recruitment are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives / Container Handballers to join our client's busy warehouse operation in Aston, Birmingham.
This is a hands‑on, physically demanding warehouse role, primarily focused on unloading containers and moving stock safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
The successful candidates will be reliable, hardworking and comfortable carrying out regular manual‑handling duties as part of their day‑to‑day work.
Key Responsibilities
- Unloading containers and trailers
- Manually handling and moving stock
- Loading and unloading goods safely
- Moving products around the warehouse
- Maintaining a clean and organised working area
- Following manual‑handling and health & safety procedures
- Working efficiently as part of a team
- Carrying out other general warehouse duties as required
About You
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are reliable and punctual
- Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Are comfortable undertaking physically demanding manual‑handling duties
- Are capable of safely lifting, carrying and moving stock as required by the role
- Are able to remain active and work on their feet throughout the shift
- Work well as part of a team
- Are willing to get stuck in and support the wider warehouse operation
Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, provided you have the right attitude and are capable of safely carrying out the duties involved.

1:00pm - 5:00pm

Requirements
Safety boots are essential.
Candidates must be able to safely undertake the manual-handling requirements of the position. Appropriate training and workplace procedures will be provided.
