Duties
- Assist pharmacists with preparing and dispensing prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and placing orders for supplies
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and supporting medication administration processes when appropriate
- Maintain precise records of medication transactions, prescriptions, and inventory logs
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area to uphold safety standards
- Support medication delivery to patients or healthcare facilities as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and legal requirements related to medication handling and patient confidentiality
Requirements
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar healthcare support role is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations
- Strong commitment to patient care with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic computer skills for managing records and pharmacy software systems
- Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory
