About The Role

Ashford College, part of the East Kent Colleges Group, is seeking a Maths Supply Lecturer to join our approved staffing list. As a Supply Lecturer you will:

  • Teach, train and assess students in your subject specialism(s).
  • Ensure a high‑quality learning experience.
  • Provide support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential.

Pay: £18 per hour worked. If planning and admin is required, a further half an hour may be claimed per hour of teaching. £140 per day is the rate for 5 hours teaching with 2.5 hours of planning and admin.

NOTE: Addition to the approved staffing list does not guarantee employment or hours of work. You will be placed in the supply pool after interview and completion of pre‑employment checks. We will contact you if an opportunity matches your skill set.

About You

The ideal candidate will be highly organised, creative, and able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress to plan interventions is a vital part of the role and ensuring students develop the skills they need to succeed.

Qualifications:

  • Proof of teaching qualification and relevant subject experience.
  • Experience of teaching Level 1 to Level 3 programmes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly throughout the week.
