As a Lecturer in Travel and Tourism at Dover College, you will bring the exciting world of travel, tourism and hospitality to life, delivering engaging and industry‑relevant learning experiences that prepare students for successful careers. You will teach, coach and assess students across a range of learning environments, creating an inclusive and inspiring atmosphere where learners can thrive. Working closely with students, you will provide the guidance, encouragement and support they need to achieve their full potential and progress confidently towards their career goals.

In addition to teaching, you will:

  • Be part of a supportive team that provides ongoing training and coaching.

Position: 15 hours per week, Wednesdays and Fridays 8:30am – 17:00pm. Salary: £14,639 – £16,037.

We support new teachers with training and coaching through our Teacher Academy, including digital skills support. If you do not have any teaching experience or teacher qualifications but have a passion for sharing your knowledge, you may be considered for this teaching role.

You’ll be a highly organised and creative educator, with the ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that inspire learners. You’ll have strong interpersonal skills, a positive and empathetic approach, and the confidence to manage a classroom effectively. Tracking student progress and using this to plan targeted support and interventions will be a key part of your role.

Ideally, you’ll have experience teaching or delivering training in the workplace, although this isn’t essential as full training will be provided. You’ll be able to teach across Level 1 to Level 3 programmes and motivate learners to achieve and succeed in their studies.
