About The Role
If you enjoy driving, value punctuality, and like the flexibility that comes with ad hoc work, this could be the role for you. We are looking for a dependable and professional Minibus Driver to support East Kent Colleges Group on an as and when required basis (casual), providing safe, efficient and friendly transport for students and staff between designated locations.
As a Minibus Driver, you will play an important role in supporting our College Group by ensuring students and staff travel safely and comfortably between sites, activities and events. This is a flexible role, ideal for someone seeking occasional work.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operating a minibus in line with UK road laws
- Transporting passengers and assisting those with mobility needs
- Carrying out vehicle safety checks and reporting maintenance issues
- Monitoring passenger wellbeing and following Safeguarding and Prevent Duty procedures
About You
You will be a reliable and safety-conscious individual who is comfortable working with students and staff in a college environment and values professionalism at all times.
Experience and Requirements
- Previous experience driving a minibus or similar vehicle (desirable)
- Experience working with passengers in a customer-facing or support role
- A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category (D1 or Category B, as applicable)
- First Aid qualification, or willingness to complete
- Relevant MiDAS training and qualification or willingness to complete
