About The Role
Are you passionate about developing the next generation of hairdressing professionals? Join our team as a Skills Practitioner and inspire learners to achieve excellence in the salon and beyond.
As a Student Skills Practitioner, you’ll have successfully completed your Level 2 studies and returned to continue your journey at Level 3 - while gaining valuable experience, developing your professional skills and supporting other students along the way.
Working alongside your Lecturer and wider college team, you’ll play an important role in helping create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities could include:
- Preparing inspiring learning spaces and ensuring they’re ready for practical sessions.
- Helping maintain clean, safe and welcoming environments where everyone can learn and create.
- Supporting marketing and promotional activities, both within the college and at external events.
- Getting involved in college events, such as open days, by providing practical and logistical support.
- Sharing your knowledge and experience to help encourage and support fellow students.

This position is based at EKC Broadstairs.

About You
We are seeking to appoint an organised and efficient student to our team who has excellent communication skills and can facilitate learners on tasks. You will recently have completed your Level 2 studies in a related vocational subject and be working towards your Level 3.
You will also provide support as requested by the Lecturer or other staff member in class to aid the delivery of outstanding provision within EKC Group. You will have recent industrial experience in a relevant area. You will be able to work with your peers to achieve and succeed their full potential aligned with the culture and ethos of the Group. You will have a key responsibility for instilling and upholding strong Health & Safety standards in practical environments.
