An exciting new opportunity has arisen in the Commercial team at EKC Group! We are looking for a Commercial Team Leader to join us, set in the coastal town of Broadstairs.
37-hour per week, 39 weeks per year
Salary of £26,012 (including holiday pay)
Working Pattern: 7.30-3.30 Monday - Friday.
As a Catering Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting our Business Managers and leading a small, dedicated team to deliver nutritious and high-quality meals for students at breakfast and lunch, Monday to Friday. Your responsibilities will also include:
- The smooth running of the refectory
- Ordering of food and supplies
- Monitoring deliveries
- Meal preparation
- Ensuring excellent standards are maintained.
You’ll lead by example to support and develop your team, contribute to a positive dining experience, and help ensure students receive outstanding service every day.

About You:
We are looking for a hardworking, dynamic and organised individual who has the skills and knowledge in catering, cooking, food safety and management of staff in a similar catering enterprise. The post holder will possess industry awareness e.g. relevant compliance within the industry / legal standards including regulation and a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a relevant role which has involved a customer facing role. The ideal candidate will also have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills both verbal and written e.g. customer service, experience of leading a team and experience of financial transactions including use of a cash register.
