Deliver Quality, Serve Excellence, Brighten Days - Join us as Catering Assistant. EKC Group are seeking a Catering Assistant to join their commercial team at Ashford college. As a Catering Assistant you will undertake cashier duties, preparation of Barista coffee, cooking and cleaning within the division. You will be part of a small team to deliver an outstanding food experience to our students and staff on site. You will be responsible for all general catering tasks including customer service, maintaining stock levels, cleaning, cashier duties, preparing and serving hot drinks and food.
Key Details:
- Salary: £8,014 per annum (includes holiday pay)
- Contract: Term time only 35 weeks per year
- Hours per week: 15
- Working Pattern: 3 hours per day 5 days a week

About You
We are seeking to appoint a well-organised and confident individual to our catering team. The successful candidate will have relevant practical industrial experience e.g. cooking, customer service, familiar with professional coffee making machines, cash handling, kitchen cleaning, chemical handling, general pot wash duties. You will also have good customer service skills and experience of maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The ideal candidate will hold a Health & Safety qualification related to the relevant area of work or equivalent e.g. Basic Food Hygiene and have basic IT skills.
