Ashford Borough Council's Housing service is embarking on an exciting and ambitious period of transformation. We are committed to improving the way we work, strengthening our services, and delivering the best possible outcomes for our residents. To support this journey, we are seeking a Business Analyst to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on understanding how services operate, identifying opportunities for improvement, and helping teams deliver meaningful change.

As our Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Housing services at Ashford Borough Council. You will work collaboratively with colleagues across the service to map and document current (as-is) and future (to-be) processes by gathering and analysing business requirements. You will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing systems, performance data and resident feedback
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality and the resident experience
  • Supporting the implementation of new processes, practices and ways of working
  • Engaging with stakeholders across Housing to gather, document and analyse business requirements
  • Facilitating workshops, interviews, surveys and process-mapping sessions
  • Producing clear and accurate process flows, models and documentation
  • Recommending changes that align with organisational objectives and resident needs
  • Identifying and quantifying the benefits of proposed improvements

We are looking for someone who brings both technical skill and a collaborative mindset and it is essential that you have experience working in a local authority housing service or housing association, along with experience of delivering service improvements in housing operations as well as having strong process-mapping and analysis skills.
