An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Office Co-ordinator to join our busy Colorectal Surgery Team. This is a newly created post within a passionate and proactive team. The role involves general office duties, appointment bookings, and working closely with Consultants and their teams to provide excellent administrative support to our patients.

The Clinical Office Administrative Co-ordinator will be responsible for:

  • Providing a comprehensive administrative service to the clinical office and staff.
  • Organising workload with Consultants and Teams, coordinating with other Clinical Office Co-ordinators to ensure efficiency.
  • Booking appointments across specialties and providing cross-cover when needed.
  • Acting as a key contact for patients and collaborating closely with clinicians, specialist nurses, and other specialties.
  • Working with the Patient Pathway Team to manage pathways and ensure clinic/theatre bookings adhere to the Trust\’s Access Policy.
  • Using initiative to contribute positively to the organisation of work.
  • Being capable of fulfilling the role of the Clinical Office Administrator when required.

Strong administration skills, an excellent telephone manner, enthusiasm, motivation, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential. Experience with Surrey Safe Care (Cerner), Evolve, and Dictate I.T. systems is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
