Ashfield Veterinary Surgery is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our well-equipped practice based in Ashfield near Durham. You will be joining a practice with access to a varied and interesting caseload and a range of modern equipment. The salary for the role is up to £30k (pro rata), depending on experience, plus benefits.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated RVN who is confident and can provide our client's pets with the best possible care. This is a role that offers the chance to join a very well-established practice with many loyal clients and varied cases. You will be working with a team of 3 receptionists, 4 vets, 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs, 2 experienced PCAs and a practice manager. Teamwork is important to us - we discuss cases frequently to ensure we get the best outcome for the patient. We are a very friendly, caring and well-organised practice.

Our RVNs undertake schedule 3, see a varied caseload in nursing clinics and are also regularly on shift doing inpatient care, ensuring that you see all aspects of nursing.

We are based in a beautiful rural county within 6 miles from historic Durham City and approximately 15 minutes on the train from the bright lights of Newcastle upon Tyne. Stunning countryside is on the doorstep with the Durham dales and Durham coastline both within easy reach.

Salary and Hours: This is a part-time fixed term contract working 2.5 days for 26hrs, including 1:4 Saturday mornings. The salary for the role is up to £30k (pro rata) depending on experience, plus benefits. We also have onsite parking with an electric car charging point.
