Teacher of Science (Maternity Cover)
Ashfield School seeks a full‑time Teacher of Science to cover a period of maternity leave, starting September2026.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging science lessons to students.
- Inspire students with a love of science and support a collaborative teaching culture.
- Maintain and develop the science curriculum and assessment practices.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents and students.
- Support the school’s safeguarding and welfare policies.
Qualifications and Experience
- A teaching qualification (e. g. Qualified Teacher Status).
- Specialism in biology preferred, but all science specialisms considered.
- Current enhanced DBS disclosure and satisfactory references.
- Experience working in a school environment is desirable.
