Role Profile

We have an exciting vacancy for a Scientific Director within a group of established accounts that cover both publications and medical affairs. The accounts span several approved haematology and oncology products for a leading global pharmaceutical client, alongside new prelaunch products also in haem-onc (including lymphoma and multiple myeloma) and solid tumours (including lung and GI cancers). Your experience writing, developing and reviewing related content within a Healthcare/Medical Communications setting will be a critical success factor.

You will be one of the scientific leads within a franchise of existing teams and will use your medical communications expertise to work closely with colleagues and clients as a trusted medical communications professional. The teams support all types of scientific publications (including data manuscripts, review articles, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations) as well as key medical affairs projects such as core slide decks, scientific narratives, congress symposia, advisory boards and standalone meetings. Additionally, you will be responsible for line management, mentorship, and reviewing work of junior team members to ensure the highest quality standards are met throughout.

In our Scientific Directors, we are looking for leaders – people who are passionate about communicating highly scientific content in an accessible and educational setting. You will partner closely with our pharmaceutical clients to provide scientific and strategic input, as well as ensuring the scientific accuracy and highest quality of deliverables within agreed timeframes. You will also be responsible together with your client services colleagues for identifying and pursuing growth opportunities and delivering new business pitches when required.

You will be confident in your decision-making abilities and highly knowledgeable about medical communications, together with a commitment to quality.
