Inizio Engage is recruiting an experienced Account Specialist to join a high-performing field team, working on behalf of a leading, values-driven pharmaceutical organisation within the respiratory therapy area. The successful candidate will be employed directly onto our client’s headcount. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional to act as a trusted partner to primary care customers, delivering tailored solutions that improve patient care while driving sustainable business growth.
The Role
As an Account Specialist, you will act as the single point of contact for your customers, working in true partnership to understand local priorities and co-create solutions that meet both customer and organisational needs. You will be responsible for the effective promotion of a market‑leading respiratory portfolio across Primary Care, aligned to the UK marketing strategy and locally developed account plans.

- Practice‑Based Nurses and Pharmacists

- Primary Care Networks (PCNs) and Practice Clusters
- Other relevant local decision‑makers
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer contact, connecting customers with internal functions such as education, medical support, value‑added services and partnership opportunities
- Champion the Voice of the Customer, using insights and feedback to shape engagement and solutions
- Successfully promote the respiratory portfolio through high‑quality, customer‑centric interactions
- Develop and deliver robust account plans for PCNs, practice clusters and individual practices
- Build long‑term customer partnerships, positioning the organisation as a respiratory partner of choice
- Deliver UK marketing strategies at a local level
- Pioneer a mix of digital and face‑to‑face engagement, using customer insights and technology to enhance impact
- Co‑create solutions aligned to customer challenges, including service offerings, collaborative projects and medical education
- Tailor portfolio messaging to individual customer agendas
- Deliver against agreed KPIs including sales performance, customer satisfaction, NPS and project delivery
- Operate at all times in line with the ABPI Code of Practice, company policies and values
- Support wider organisational commitments to sustainability and responsible business practices
About You
You will be a confident, credible and motivated pharmaceutical professional with a strong understanding of the NHS and Primary Care environment. Essential experience and skills include:
- Proven track record of consistent sales delivery against targets
- Strong knowledge of NHS structures, priorities and decision‑making
- Advanced selling, influencing and presentation skills
- Robust clinical and market understanding
- Experience of Key Account Management and business planning
- Ability to develop compelling business proposals and cases
- Excellent relationship‑building skills across multiple stakeholder groups
- Strong analytical and critical reasoning skills, using data to drive customer planning
- High‑quality in‑call execution
- Confidence using digital tools and platforms
- Strong IT capability
- Full UK driving licence (with no more than 6 penalty points for new entrants)
- ABPI qualification (or working towards)
