Ashfield District Council have a great opportunity for a Senior Compliance & Enforcement Officer to join our team based in Kirkby in Ashfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £34,314 - £37,035 per annum.
We are seeking a confident and experienced Senior Compliance & Enforcement Officer to join our Planning team. In this role, you will lead on investigations into breaches of planning control, including non-compliance with conditions and legal agreements. You will work with developers, residents, and legal teams to resolve issues - taking enforcement action where needed.
Key responsibilities of our Senior Compliance & Enforcement Officer:
- Investigate planning breaches and carry out site inspections
- Negotiate resolutions or initiate formal enforcement action
- Prepare reports, serve legal notices, and present evidence at appeals and court
- Provide clear planning advice to the public and stakeholders
