Ashfield District Council have an exciting opportunity for a Service Manager – Housing Regulations and Improvement to join the team based in Kirkby-In-Ashfield. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (37 hours per week) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £47,181 - £50,269 per annum (pay award pending).

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in social housing, project management or a governance role in a local authority who can identify gaps in services, areas of improvement and liaise with other managers to ensure that we deliver core functions in accordance with regulation. Your professional accountability is to provide assurance that the Council is compliant with all statutory and regulatory housing requirements, developing action plans and remediations where we are deficient.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Service Manager – Housing Regulation and Improvement will have direct responsibility for:

  • Social Housing Regulatory Compliance
  • Housing Complaints management
  • Tenant Engagement and Involvement
  • Housing Performance and Insight

You will have excellent investigative, problem solving and project management skills. You will also be a strong communicator as the role involves working with other departments to ensure our tenants are able to live in safe and good quality homes. The role enjoys a generous level of annual leave, agile working, and a Local Authority Pension.
